Any time I see the massive amounts of money being bet on Polymarket or Kalshi or whatever, I wonder about what the draw is. Am I a weird anomaly for not having any interest in betting on random shit or sports or geopolitics or... all the other stuff? There's just zero appeal for me.

The varied viewpoints storytelling, the odd mystery, the creepy characters, the relationship building... there's SO MUCH here that is amazing. I loved everything about it. Then the reveal of the mystery. And I was left with a huge, "that's it?" Sigh.

The good: Tom Hardy was great & there were some fun supporting cast. The mediocre: You kinda have to like motorcycle culture to be into this one. The bad: It just sorta peters out at the end & ultimately felt a bit pointless. But, again, Tom Hardy is great.

A graph using reports from people over papers showing Numbers of reported kidnappings and activity from Minnesota, California, Florida, Texas, and then a combination of all other states. The highest Spike is in mid-January showing that Minnesota was reporting 500 incidents a day while California was reporting right around 100. Along this whole graph, Minnesota is showing at least double reports compared to everyone else with the exception of a time in very early January when California was almost on Pace with what we were seeing here. There is a small heading up top that says: immigration enforcement in Minnesota dwarfed the rest of the nation.
Seeing this visualization has been really impactful for me. There were times when people tried to come at us sideways for claiming this is *different* and massive in a way that we hadn't seen other places. But it really really has been.

I have _wasted_ more time trying to wrangle Copilot to be a semi-functional intern that still produces garbage output I can only half use than if I just did it all from scratch. AI is teh dum.
Trying again to use Copilot to "increase productivity"... it can't access corporate templates (so can't format work correctly), creates broken links, chooses a horrific light green and pastel blue color scheme for slides, and puts headers in their own slides, more than doubling # of slides used.
