A brewery in Minneapolis actually hosted one of these in January! I believe it was very successful.

Currently I'm thinking something similar to the Oyster stitch? the bottom of the twists seems to match but the top is a bit different.

Oooh good call on it being a combo of cales and basket. I was reading the bumps as a part of the cable/cluster not purls.

She says it’s from 30 years ago when she was in college I n China so she doesn’t have a pattern for it. But I don’t know of anything similar to these little swirls!

I work for a company that makes heart valves, and my coworkers recently challenged me to knit an anatomical heart.
I think it turned out pretty good considering I refuse to use DPNs and the yarn is a mystery weight gifted to me several years ago. 🧶❤️
