Just finished Theo of Golden. It will be difficult for a book to be a favorite book of the year after reading this.

Time change is irrelevant.
We had a tornado watch today. It was 72 degrees in NW PA. It passed thankfully. We have held off watching The Pitt for a bit. Did 3 tonight. I miss the years of 26 episodes. β€οΈ I love that show.
And Lilac Girls came in on hold...
Didn't read today. Watched Hamnet, Bugonia and Train Dreams. Just as satisfying. The end of Hamnet, π Bugonia ,a hoot! Train Games, cinematography, maybe adapted screenplay. Oscar prep.
Nice birthday party and Chinese food with the kids. Being 8 years old is cool. I can't remember 8 years old all that well 60 years later. Take the picture.
Spent the afternoon with the grandsons. It was 53 degrees, no wind and sunny. The 7 year old got out his golf clubs. I gave him a few tips and he hit 90% off the tee in the yard. New skiΔΊl unlocked. I was amazed.
Literally years of political posts, mental health posts sent globally. Anyone else tired of this fucked up thing? I am.
Cat vibes. Really? Winter may be done. He picked her up. No one knows.
When is anyone going to realize we aren't playing Battleship in the rec room. Lobbing bombs at countries is a strange mentality we are in now. TV show is not government.
We decided to not drink coffee in March. The quality of the Folgers and Maxwell we have had at our local grocery store is awfu. Hard to do it, but good. Carry on.
Theo of Golden wins. It maybe hard to beat that. I got the book at the library. Read 1/3 of it today. My audiobook on libby came tonight. The universe is telling me something. My husband and I will listen in tandem. Life alternating book. Not kidding.
Free services and care. Do the things. Safety and a way to connect is life isn't it? Simple community actions matter.
I need it. Almost done with Vigil. Amazing. Frozen River tomorrow.
A 19 year old girl came into my library today, afraid because a man in a car was following her on the street. She came to call her Dad. She said she knew she would be safe there. She was.
I have Frozen River, Theo of Golden and Vigil in my little cottage. I also have a cat zooming, some snow coming and my husband snoring in bed. Tomorrow I have a day off. It feels like the epicenter of perfect. Coffee, pjs, cook a little and read. Comfort! ##librarytalk
I made a library card for a 7 year old today. She took out Dr. Seuss and a book about the ocean. Loved our library. Job done. #librarytalk
Siggy is zooming a bit. Have a front coming in bringing some snow. Wrapped in my big robe and listening to the Monterey Bay live octopus cam, all dark, but soothing. Doing the slight social media thing. My own life is busy and dramatic enough.
Can we have one day without a war? WTF?
Too cloudy to see aligned planets but know they are there. Dinner with my daughter, trivia and good talk. I haven't had a day off since last Sunday. Broken pipes at our history center we cleaned up. No damage to exhibits. Sleep and cooking tomorrow.
A friend asked me for info about where her aunt visited at our lake in the 50s and stayed in a particular cottage. We have a map showing names. I went to our history center (closed in winter) and discovered a burst pipe. Does ESP exist? Sure feels like it. Cleaned up. All good Exhibits fine.
The richest man owns X.
The second and third richest men control Google.
The fourth richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
The fifth richest man owns The Washington Post.
And now the sixth richest could soon take over both Paramount and Warner Bros.
See the problem here?
Just did
One of the best endings of a movie I've seen in years.
Watched Song Sung Blue tonight. It was so good.
No idea about tonight. Listening to music with my guy. Going to bed. Choices matter for mental health.
Listening to live music as state of the union.
Getting closer to bed. Siggy has zoomies. We love her. Par for the course and then check in when we're in bed, making biscuits at midnight and sleep in her cat tree. Everyone safe and sound. Good guardian cat.
My daughter and I went to a karaoke/birthday party at our local watering hole. It was so fun. Reconnecting with folks we only see in Summer who came was lovely. Big storm coming toward the east coast will graze us with 1-3" of snow. Thinking of friends and family in the east. Be safe.
You are correct.
