T-SQL Tuesday #193 Ghosts of Jobs Past & Future
Self Family Work My first job out of college involved relocating an untold number of times to unfamiliar places and meeting an incredible number of people, all for a pretty price. And I did. I moved to half a dozen states, met hundreds of people,…
T-SQL Tuesday #191 Normalizing Comma Data
If you've escaped string parsing thus far, count thyself lucky. I've seen some numbing scripts from pre-SQL Server 2016 when STRING_SPLIT was introduced. I think the fact this month's T-SQL Tuesday is entirely on string parsing says enough about how many…

#PassSummit2024 is underway, and it's already been a wonderful experience. Yesterday was my first "Hi Courtney, I've heard your name and wanted to introduce myself" and today was my first "I've heard your name before." Cloud nine. If you're at PASS feel free to flag me down. I'd love to meet you.
Looking forward to meeting with people via the experts clinic during PASS. I'm available for Accidental DBA, Performance Tuning, and DEI as a woman in tech. I can't wait! Sign-up here with me or another great colleague.

Excited to present at #PassDataSummit this fall! Last year was a great experience, and this year can only be better. Couldn't have done it without my support network.
Rarely here, but looking for some experts in the #Oracle #MySQL or #MongoDB space to work with the Redgate monitoring team. Reach out if you want to do a little research and give feedback.

Regardless of having any mentorship to give, I still have a touchpoint every other week to make sure I'm on the right track with work priorities, to get heads up on future projects, or if I need help. If we cancel, we cancel, but it's there if we need it.
I appreciate the frequent scheduled touchpoints with my manager. People should know when to course correct as soon as possible, not a year after the fact. That only breeds contempt.
Turns out, knowing how you best organize your thoughts makes presentation building much easier.
I slept most of Sunday.
Stay tuned for my presentation on tuning the db one table at a time.
