I had some surgery (nothing too serious) last weekend and trying to take it easy so decided to eventually watch Lord of the Rings movies. I've read the books before but never watched the films.
Bilbo has just disappeared and Gandalf is concerned about what's going on in Mordor so far...

On the gardening theme, my herb garden is also flourishing, particularly the mint. Mojitos and mint teas for everyone. If anyone has any other good recipes then send them my way.

My strawberries have grown really well this year considering they were half dead and dug up from last year. A little nurturing and safe environment goes a long way.

I'm glad I'm not an 'apple person' the new liquid glass design is not good unless their user research showed that people wanted to be spooked by 'ghost apps' then they've nailed it 👻

Tomatoes and chilli peppers are easy or the little sweet peppers. I've just redone my herbs and strawberries this year

Oh that really sucks, kids can be awful, plus water cups aren't even good, it's a crap thing to be proud of having hope your little one is ok, it's cooler to not have a Stanley.

Today has been very nice, been sitting in the garden all day and now about to light the BBQ was not expecting this weather. Enjoying my Christmas present KISS Destroyer craft lager today, it's very nice, cheers'ing to a good friend who is no longer with us on her birthday.

Until about a year ago I was totally anti e-reader, now I carry this ancient, beat up Kindle with a light contraption everywhere and refuse to get a new one. #Kindle #Books

I've not been on here a while as the person I usually interacted with isn't around anymore and every time I opened the app I felt a bit glum.
Today I'm missing it a bit so here I am.

I wasn't going to post anything about the passing of my dear friend, because I'm so very sad. However, I've taken such comfort in reading all the lovely things about her today and I also wanted to remind people that it's ok to be sad, it's ok to take time to be sad, especially at times like this.

This is really lovely, I wanted more time with her too.
