now David Speers is promoting an “ABC National Forum” for “Jewish Australians” to talk about “overcoming hate”. Like the “national” day of mourning, that is not, by definition, a national forum. Not all 27 million of us are invested in using antisemitism allegations to silence criticism of Israel.

I wrote about how the US and Israel carried out an attack on an Iranian girls school on par with the OKC bombing and US media relegated it to a back page story. No stand alone evening news segments, no front page stories, it made A11 in the NYT then everyone moved on.

the Aust home affairs minister just told the ABC that meetings like one between Israeli President and Aust intelligence boss “happen all around the world” and “they keep people safe”. Which tells you who are considered “people” to our government.
