To be clear, that was Kat Baier's (@ceu-press.bsky.social) excellent point about censorship, not mine! (Just my poor paraphrasing.)

I'm remembering saying years ago that OA finally got me to tackle my social anxiety. Because I cared so much about OA and finally realized I couldn't accomplish much quietly working in my office, not interacting with scholars. They are so key, yes! #copimconference
More catnip! Can't wait!
Catnip! Can't wait to read! Thank you!
Ooo, if you have a link you could quickly share, would love to see that work! #copimconference
Open access means that nobody can tell you you can't read something. Always true, but so very, essentially, bulldozingly important here in the US right now. #copimconference
So much gratitude and admiration for @heroicendeavour.bsky.social and my co-panelists. So, so impressed by their efforts and successes. So big. So *structural*. (Mine was so wee in comparison!)
I'm finding more success connecting with faculty advocates not for open access per se but for public scholarship broadly defined...which of course includes OA. Changing the framing/term helped more than I would have ever guessed! #copimconference
Right?! So delightful!
Oopsie, didn't read far enough down. I support @lwalker.bsky.social's suggestion for a group of shushing librarians! (A worthy repurposing of academicworks.cuny.edu/ulj/vol27/is...)
But "cardigan" does evoke a group somehow, so I'm in favor!
Thank you so much for this thread! Now I feel like was there, sort of kind of!
Such a thrill to be captured in a #jojodoodle! (But also, gah, I'm making such a goofy face in the photo!)
The Journal of Graduate Librarianship (JGL) is again accepting submissions! Manuscripts are welcome until Monday, April 14, 2025.
