It's time for a little Sebring in LMU! www.twitch.tv/stephen_bailey
I'm sure this will be completely fine... it's time for some motorsport highlights! www.twitch.tv/stephen_bailey
I honestly can't believe how bad England have played. ๐
I still feel fully driver controlled hybrid deployment is the happy medium, as it was when KERS first appeared in 2009. You retain what the manufacturers want, but put the drivers firmly in control. A tad more ICE power wouldn't hurt, but let's see how it plays out on different tracks.
I know there's going to be a lot of debate about "natural" racing and what constitutes F1. F1's racing hasn't been "natural" since DRS was brought in. F1's racing hasn't been "natural" since they chased degrading tyres.
100%. The second half of the race looked very different from the first. A lot of boosting passed, repassing because of excessive battery use. There was much less of that as the race went on, even between very close cars.
I imagine the clipping won't be anywhere near as dramatic at most tracks. This modern Melbourne layout might actually be the absolute worst for it. There's a singular BIG braking zone at T11. T3 is the next biggest. A race on the original layout would have looked very different.
That first stint showed what F1 is chasing, though. It's obviously not the same, given the reasons for LICO and boost deployment are very different, but so much of what we saw reminded me of LMP1-H in how they raced each other.
Worst bit of the F1 race? The broadcast. It felt like only four cars existed for the vast majority of the race, and some really fun moments weren't even shown in replays. The first stint was pretty enjoyable at the front. Beyond that, it was an F1 race, really.
Reason number 124 to never give up in an endurance race! www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSmQ...
Right then. Let's do a 100% distance Australian Grand Prix! www.twitch.tv/stephen_bailey
Today we're doing (hopefully) a 100% Australian GP! Live at the usual 13:00 GMT. Plus a fun video I've just spotted from @tedmeat.bsky.social that might be relevant to what I'm doing today! ๐
Truly, go and apply for the Exo Rally Championship playtest on Steam. Familiar bits, but also wonderfully unique in the genre. Well worth your time. ๐
Some motorsport news/chat, AC Rally, then, FINALLY, Exo Rally Championship! Seriously, come and check it out for something a bit different but pretty damn awesome.

I talked about this on stream last week, but after much deliberation, I have set up a Ko-fi page! There's a single (ยฃ1) tier at the moment for people who enjoy what I do and would like to support that in another way. Any support is, as always, massively appreciated and helps keep things going!
And here's to more!
Let's just drive stuff, you know, for fun! www.twitch.tv/stephen_bailey
It's time for more weekend motorsport highlights! www.twitch.tv/stephen_bailey
The reward for completing a 12-hour race yesterday? A proper getting old injury this morning. Lying in bed, moved SLIGHTLY, twinged something in the back. ๐
I JUST WANT PEACE DAMN IT.
12 hours around Le Mans in LMU... hopefully! www.twitch.tv/stephen_bailey
Happy birthday, Denise! Hope it's been a good day. ๐
Decided to throw the LMU birthday race up on the ol' YouTube! ๐ www.youtube.com/watch?v=5anf...
The forecast for tomorrow is making me consider breaking out the shorts. ๐
Here's hoping!
It's time for an AC Rally refresh ahead of the update! www.twitch.tv/stephen_bailey
