For a time, Disney was doing 4K releases of the STAR WARS streaming shows, but that seems to have stopped. So, fuck it! Put THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT in the Criterion Collection. When physical media is rapidly dying, it's self-sabotaging to be precious about this shit.

Caught a matinee of THE LAST JEDI at the Academy Museum today.
Full house. Wonderfully appreciative crowd. Always a joy to revisit. It mythologizes elements of humanity in a way I find particularly helpful in our present moment. I'm so thankful for this movie.

It will be interesting to see if the change in guard offers any insight into whether it was Bob or Josh who decided to leverage Trump's tax code that precipitated the closure.
Allow me to clarify what I was trying to say:
The Halcyon has appeared in books conceived and written long after the closure. The ship and its characters are still very much on deck for future storytelling should the occasion arise.
There have been books published years after the closure that include the Halcyon. Several references to it are still surviving the upcoming Galaxy's Edge pivot. The ship is still very much alive to Lucasfilm, who did not make the choice to close the experience.

That music represented something. Might seem silly, but the loss of that meditative transition will prevent me from revisiting Disneyland's Black Spire Outpost, a place I once considered a second home.

I can't stomach the thought of hearing the main title blaring in that tunnel.
Can't overstate how important this entrance tunnel arrangement of John William's (Grammy-winning) theme for Galaxys Edge is to me.
Its removal at Disneyland is a profound sadness. I'd been warned about the other aspects of the recent land announcement, but this knocked the wind out of me.
