I know what you mean. I've had a few jobs recently where I've had to "interface" to the engineering side of the fabrication and I've used geonodes to create some parametric modules but a purpose built CAD system might have been quicker in the end with all the change requests we went through.

It is amazing. I used to be cycles only but now I'm finding I can use some animation segments that render with EEVEE (and view layers) that comp together nicely.
