VICTORY IN COOK COUNTY! ✊🏽πŸ’ͺ🏾
The resistance shows up! Charges were just dropped against fifteen "suburban moms" and protesters arrested at the Broadview ICE facility. The regime tried to prosecute dissent and failed miserably.

I dunno, maybe just me, but every time I get an email promising me β€œbetter online experience” when I’m perfectly happy with it now, I shudder in horror and it’s confirmed by a worse online experience I never asked for, don’t want, and have to spend precious time learning & accommodating myself to

ICE detains reporter Estefany RodrΓguez in Nashville - Nashville Banner Reporter Estefany RodrΓguez, detained by ICE with no arrest warrant, may face deportation. Her attorneys seek immediate review of the legality of her case.

ICE has arrested and detained a Nashville journalist who reported stories critical of ICE. She’s married to a U.S. citizen and has been seeking asylum here after fleeing death threats in Colombia because of her journalism there.

They’ve already sent her to Louisiana.

AOC: If people like Kristi Noem, Kash Patel, and Pam Bondi violate the law, there are supposed to be consequences. These are people who call themselves law enforcement officers. The message they’re sending is that they can cover up for pedophiles and street executions. That cannot be acceptable.

Donald Trump increases the defense budget last year from $874 billion to $1 trillion. He says he wants $1.5 trillion this year. Now he wants $50 billion more for his Iran War. Every Democrat should be screaming about the military budget, not cutting deals to keep raising it.

in:

Please realize, the space of action demonstrably allowed to Trump by military & congress is big enough to break the world as you know it (as is occurring).

It’s like we’re allowing a cocaine-and-whiskey drunk white supremacist to drive our tour bus.

S OTOMAYOR , J., dissenting
II
Today, the Court takes the astonishing, unexplained step
of staying a state trial court’s order before the state high
court has had a chance to weigh in. To do so, the majority
had to conclude that it has jurisdiction to act, that acting
now is consistent with the bedrock federalism values under-
lying its jurisdictional limits, and that the equities favor
granting this relief despite the Court’s repeated admoni-
tions to proceed cautiously when intervening in state elec-
tions or court proceedings. The Court goes badly wrong at
every turn.

 OTOMAYOR , J., dissenting
Appeals. Supp. App. 102–103. Besides, even if the Appel-
late Division denied defendants leave to appeal the denial
of stay, defendants still may seek that same relief from the
Court of Appeals directly. N. Y. C. P. L. R. Β§5519(c);
Β§5602(a)(2) (permitting a litigant to seek leave to appeal
from the Court of Appeals β€œupon refusal by the appellate
division” as to β€œan order of the appellate division which does
not finally determine [the] proceeding”).
Until defendants try to obtain relief from New York’s
highest court, this Court cannot and should not act. That
defendants have not taken that modest step should have
resulted in the denial of the stay they seek.3

To me, the NY redistricting case feels like a constitutional crisis in miniature. The Supreme Court is issuing orders it "cannot" issue, Sotomayor explains in her dissent. Yet it did so anyway.

So how should the NY courts react to an order that should never have issued?

Just a random reminder that over 50 members of Congress collectively own millions of dollars in defense contractor stocks.

They stand to personally profit from wars that enrich these contractors.

Make no mistake, this is legalized corruption.

Watch how they vote this week.
