I've had range finders before too but seeing the patch is too tricky, especially with needing reading glasses. Got much better at zone focussing instead.
I might keep an eye out for one of those as well π
Cats Migrated to Europe 7,000 Years Earlier Than Once Thought
The A1 I can heartily recommend. It's a good little fun camera. I got a Hi-Matic AF2 to fill the hole the MC-A left. That's AF and auto exposure but manual wind. It is about the same size. Going to see how that compares in the next few weeks hopefully.
It's well worth it. It's got the dual focus. I have the H35N as well which is another fuss free camera. You don't expect much so you're usually more pleased with the results
I had an MC-A before Christmas. Had to send it back. Film transport is total gash. Lots of had serious trouble including that and bits falling off them. The new batch is better but there's not enough people with them to know if it's actually ok. Pentax 17 is much better or even the cheapo Snapic A1.
That's annoying. Looking at electric fan kits for classic cars and it looks like Kenlowe don't do them any more. They used to be the go to. Researching for a car I don't own but have a raffle ticket for because that's obviously a sensible use of time...

The Withnail and I Rolls I reviewed last week is going through Historics Auctioneers today. It had Β£188,000 spent on restoration, but the guide price is only Β£95-Β£110k. Is someone getting a bargain?

This is an interesting situation. Easy to think its defective accident repair but is there more to it? In warranty Defender catches fire and burns to crisp. JLR didn't turn up to inspection.

BYD just dropped a huge EV announcement.

Fast charging is approaching petrol refuelling times.
But the real story is the system architecture behind it. β‘π #Bettrification

Itβs a few quids worth of electronics and fairly straightforward to block an odometer in a car: splice the CAN bus and forward a bogus frame (this is how AdBlue blockers work).
ANPR isn't necessarily any good due to ghost plates now either. The deviousness of folk wanting to save a few quid should never be underestimated.

Anyone else have dealings with Ovo energy and finding them massively incompetent? They keep sending a demand for 35p that I don't owe. Already paid the final bill in full months ago.
They shouldn't be fined money but shares in the business. That way we take back what is ours.
