kinda hoping Andreas Deja just does an art book after doing his usual deep dive into the archives.
I doubt it since this is from Disney's flop era and this movie has so many.. notorious... issues. Not including the recycled animation.
But would totally take that over some flimsy L.A. Remake

Voted the same for the same reasons. never had any canvassers around here but they would have been told to do one. Hopefully the Greens will have a candidate next time so it won't be so wasted.

Why? To discriminate against a handful of Trans people who wanted to participate in competitive sport and who were already subject to stringent rules on hormone monitoring & microanalysis of any unfair competitive advantage. Transphobia negatively impacts ALL women, & covers for wider inequalities.

In the 1997 dystopian scifi film Gattaca, rapid DNA testing is used to determine social class and job eligibility. In 2026 UK, women wanting to participate in athletics must pay a Β£185 gender tax to take part in a genetic lottery where some will be ineligble due to previously unknown chromosones.

We've just learned that the person at the MHRA whose letter caused Wes 'I follow the clinical evidence' Streeting to cancel the puberty blockers trial is Professor Jacob George, the GC who enjoyed mocking trans people on his social media account.
Why did Wes Streeting cover up his name?

These are the creatures ruining trans-peopleβs lives in the USA and exporting transphobia around the world. They and their ilk are dangerous to us, and hopefully more and more people will realise a danger to them too π³οΈββ§οΈ

A drawing of a dragon glued to a thick piece of plywood and siting in a scroll saw. Some of the blank spaces around the dragon have been cut out by the scroll saw.
The dragon now cut out and ready for the paper template that was glued to the plywood now ready to be removed.
The scroll saw dragon turned round to show what it will look like with the paper removed from the plywood.
I just spent the last several days cutting out this derg on the scroll saw. The wood I used is just scrap plywood. The plywood cut alright but it was not intended for this sort of work, which I find is a bit of problem when I have to make do with what I can get my hands on. #DIY #woodworking

Female athletes must pay Β£185 to prove their sex
Matt Lawton - Chief Sports Correspondent
British female track and field athletes are being asked to pay Β£185 for a sex test if they want to compete internationally.
World Athletics requires all athletes to take an SRY gene test before competing in the female category at major championships and Diamond League events to guarantee fair competition by excluding trans and DSD (differences of sex development) competitors.
Before the World Championships in Tokyo last September, World Athletics gave $100 per test for the thousand or so female athletes needing one. More money will be provided by the international federation for this yearβs World Junior Championships.
But British women have been advised by UK Athletics (UKA) to pay for the test themselves, urging them to have the cheek swab, which indicates the presence of a Y chromosome, βas soon as possible to avoid delays around selectionβ. However, some women have complained it is unfair when the test is not required for men.
UKA has a hardship fund to pay for the test and will assess requests on a case-by-case basis. But the situation is symptomatic of a national federation already facing financial challenges, made worse by UK Sport cutting its funding for this Olympic cycle. While almost Β£32 million was given to the relatively niche sports that won five medals at last monthβs Winter Olympics, athletics has had its funding cut from Β£22.18 million to Β£20.45 million despite winning ten medals in 2024.
It was only last year UKA returned to some form of financial stability, posting a profit of Β£107,588. But it is now facing a big fine after admitting corporate manslaughter over the death of Abdullah Hayayei, who died in 2017 after a metal cage fell on him while he was training for the World Para Athletics Championships in London.

So the thing about being trans is you go from barely existing to loving life and then everyone who isnβt trans wants us to be quiet and polite at best while weβre exploding with the first real joy weβve ever experienced
So
Anyone who thinks we need to be civil and quiet can fuck all the way off
