don't mind me, just doing some crunches
That's almost big enough for a default cube
Dandadan episode 7 really out here making my Thursday existential.

Believe this is @ohle.bsky.social's image.
Quite often it's exactly as shown, but I've worked on projects that'll group parts not expected to swap or change, like the grip + lower receiver.
It's usually split into attachment parts per material.
Oh my, that's a surprise, guess where moving onto weapons and robots

Now that's a dangerous kind of logic you have there.
It's almost like if you had a machine that prints money, money itself becomes useless.

Very true, I think there's a clear discrepancy between saying how you feel about things you've experienced and venting though.
Everyone in industry knows of it and has experienced it, most of the time it's not spoken about due to the fact that outside influence means nothing and change nothing.
I've experienced this most of my career bar a few exceptions that were ultimately cancelled.
It really is hard these days to be deeply involved in a games development that you can actually influence.
The blind leading the blind is the killer of creativity in a lot of these scenarios.
I think one of the few things people don't talk about enough when it comes to burnout is when you're keeping yourself busy with the work provided but have no faith in the decisions being made.
It can be absolutely soul sucking putting in your best on something you have no ability to change.

I get one daily that's like "hello dear"
I can also guarantee this lowers the overall virility of the market.
What lowers overall market stability and normalised prices?
Flooding said market with undervalued low effort content.
It's interesting to me that the fab.com store allows people to sell Ai images and assets.
Especially seeing as you essentially are linking it to some form of licensing agreement even though a lot of countries don't consider AI work to even be copywrited
Based upon it yea, had to change a few bits and bobs to make sure there weren't licencing isdues
No, lol
The shape still exists on it, that was an issue, specifically a letter.
I'd be very surprised if anyone spots what was said to be a possible issue.
Thanks, it was one of the props I managed to have a bit of a say in how it turned out
I forget what I own lol.
That is in fact the sight
How about some nice pictures of a vector optics sight
This one was redone a number of times during production, and legal had a bit of an intervention mid way through due to a certain shape making itself known on the weapon (much to the confusion of most of the team)
More duct tape and zip ties again.
Wasn't too much of a fan of this one but it still has areas I liked.
The 3d printed lower receiver makes a feature here.
There's so much more I wish I could show from this project.
Thanks man, surprisingly using the thickness maps to drive the wide edge wear is a huge proponent of that.
It's a balance as with worn plastics you get that wide weathering and tight edge stressing.
It's always a battle and needs tweaking for all sizes and shapes
One of the things all the hyenas props shared was their DIY nature, so lots of duct tape, zip ties and elastic bands.
I made a huge kit bash set to use for assets that shared these things and without marvelous designer for tape would have been a massive headache
How about another hyenas prop, this was based around a sega game gear where the player would use it as a faux camera to take a picture of other players in order to steal their appearance as a disguise.
There was a lot of sign off for making sure it had the correct proportions and logos from legal.
Got to episode 8 and I'm getting made in abyss vibes
So binge watching Re:zero, Jesus what did I sign up for with this one...
How about some older artwork from a game you'll never get to play unfortunately.
I had the pleasure of taking this from a napkin sketch to a final model
Opinions on unity mounts?
Been seeing them a lot recently but can't get over the hilarious look they give.
