Dear Mayor Wilson, You were elected on a message of affordability, public safety, and environmental justice. Many of us hope you are able to carry out your vision of creating more shelter, more transportation, more housing, and increasing community investments. We know this vision will take time to carry out. We also know that many Seattle residents are in survival mode right now and that current city policies make it harder for our neighbors to stay alive. Here are five actions your administration could do today to increase the survival odds of our most vulnerable neighbors:
#1 Stop the Surveillance. • Cancel the contract for SPD's Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR), closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, and Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC) systems; and uninstall/ remove the technology (both software & hardware) • Protect Seattle residents by performing a comprehensive Racial Equity Toolkit (RET) and Forensic Audit of all municipal data collection, processing, retention, and sharing • Remove SDOT's traffic monitoring cameras (aka SDOT's CCTV)
#2 Stop Enabling Federal Cops • Ban staging and operations of federal civil immigration enforcement activities on City property • Withdraw SPD and any other city departments from the Joint Terrorism Task Force • End SPD's and any other city departments' participation in the Washington State Fusion Center • Ban all city departments from sharing any data with any Federal agencies that take part in immigration enforcement unless there is a lawful court order or judicial warrant • Immediately send out warnings to the community including the time and location anytime city employees confirm civil immigration enforcement activity taking place in the city

I had two jobs in high school, any time we were on break I worked 40 hrs a week & as soon as I turned 18 I worked everyday after school at papa Murphy's & two 12 hr shifts on the weekend at the boardwalk. Both my parents worked more than a year post retirement age

Reading the oral arguments for Little v Hecox (The transgender sports ban in Idaho that was argued in front of SCOTUS a few days ago) is so depressing. Idaho's argument doesn't even make sense, they are just bigoted bully's on a power trip due to a partisan SCOTUS letting them continue as such
