In 2026, Alberta is increasing its share of your property tax bill by 21.05%. Nearly 42% of every residential property tax dollar now goes to Province.

I never thought about it that way…and it’s sad because the Olympics should be uniting the world in celebration- yet I feel that the $$ (like concerts and local sports events) has become a barrier to entry for those that truly want to enjoy the event vs those just wanting to say they were there

The #Olympics are supposed to be the pinnacle of Sports in our world…yet the stands and nowhere near full for many events.

I’m trying to limit my consumption of bad far-right conservative takes on the horrific shooting in BC but I’ll just say this: if you’re using this awful event to justify your hate of Trans people instead of practicing empathy for everyone affected by the crimes committed then you are truly evil.

I haven’t always liked how Star Trek has developed over the years (<cough> Discovery <cough>), but it has always paid homage to its past very well…and dammit to the DS9 laced episode of Starfleet Academy for making it likely impossible for any future homage to hit as hard. #StarTrek

I am almost 48, and I am watching Saturday morning cartoons…this AM it’s catching up on ‘Phineas and Ferb’ on Disney+ - still one of the best written show…ever.

Episode 3 was fun…if predictable…Holly Hunter definitely the highlight of the show.

It feels hopeful…maybe it’s what we need
