They were always laughing and saying shotguns are stronger than magic before... well, they got to have both at once!
And yeah, there's loads of neat stuff you can pull off if the dice allow it. If you are playing fair anyway :)

Seems like they are trying to apply tips for the basic D&D session to all TTRPG systems.
I mean they are using the hashtag but still seems they are trying to have it both ways and draw everyone in even though horror games would use the opposite of their tips.

Find the popular Discord servers for the System you are wanting to play. They will have channels to find a game.
The party is hot on the trail and has three suspects

Where should they begin!?
:)
You're not wrong of course, but I have to walk a fine line between firm and agreeable because I am recording a session for a Podcast episode and need the game to be completed and hopefully make relationships where people want to come back and play again.
I made it clear it annoys me, though.
Yeah, I found out (after I ran them of course!) that some generous people have made advanced handouts for a lot of the popular Published Scenarios.
I had a bit of a problem with keeping two of the players engaged, and I was too inexperienced to know how to handle it, and it ate up a lot of time. There's some cool stuff in there that we weren't able to see, and I had to do a rush job on the ending because we hit our 4-hour limit. :(
You're not getting back more than 1 HP even though you had an extreme success on your First Aid roll as well! -evil laughter-
In books, of course. Once you have to put a visual to it that is meant to be taken seriously something is always lost.
But your example there, The Sinking City, is probably the best Lovecraft game there is and I'm looking forward to the second one.
Looks like an old-school action-adventure game that mixes in combat, stealth, and running about doing small puzzles, I guess.
I guess I'd ask the usual questions that aren't there: Game length, multiple story branches, do I level up or upgrade abilities/items some other way?
