Is it contemptible? At this point I just think theyโre just this bad at politics.
Do they not know what elections are happening in May?

For those who have forgotten the past 40 years:
Tax cuts for the rich
...donโt trickle down
Boosting military spending
...doesnโt bring peace
Slashing regulations
...doesnโt create jobs
Folks, weโve seen this all before.

Making caring for my pets completely unaffordable.
Where is the Heart of Wales glass sculpture in the floor?
Iโm visiting some friends in a couple of weeks in the Cotswolds near Northleach for #PalentinesDay.
Anyone from or know the #Cotswolds that can recommend a good pub for food and drinks?
Iโm running the Cardiff Half (my first!) and raising money for Cardiff Dogs Home - the ones that gave Sidan ๐บ to me; they do essential work helping hundreds of dogs.
Grateful if anyone has any spare money that they would donate to my fundraising page! cardiffhalf26.enthuse.com/pf/peter-gil...
BREAKING: Morgan McSweeney quits as Keir Starmer's chief of staff amid fall-out from the Mandelson scandal
What terms would that be? Not failure? How are these people so bad at politics?
Absolutely incredible. Speechless. #ENGvWAL

That NEC decision on Burnham was predictable, but also: cowardly, insecure, factional, long-term counter-strategic and symptomatic of administrative malaise.
Thanks for the explanation, though I already know how the Labour Party works.
He has no direct power but he has significant influence over the NEC. These are not siloed components of the party.
I donโt think heโs popular with reform voters. But I think Starmer doesnโt have the political capital with Labour members to block a candidate on such shaky grounds.
Even so, there is president for an MP to serve as a mayor at the same time.
Abolish ICE is now the moderate minimum position,
Prosecute ICE is where Dems should be at next.
Starmer and his circleโs political instincts are such garbage I canโt comprehend it.
What on earth are they thinking?
Come May, he will be toast and will be out of all his political capital

How surprising. Starmerโs rank attack on migrants and slashing of overseas aid hasnโt gained him any votes from the bigots.
Would America please stop being insane, please? ๐ซ

Plaid Cymru has surged ahead as the predicted largest party in Mayโs Senedd election, pulling well clear of Reform UK, according to the first poll of 2026 from ITV Cymru Wales
Our government, our national broadcaster and everyone else who genuinely cares about truth and decency and the safety of women and others should have left very long ago. And it should now be considered a matter of considerable concern that they remain.

Aw man. #HeatedRivalry might be my favourite TV programme of the year.
