Totally forgot that you mentioned Ryan Sook did the alternate cover. At least the cover makes sense now, if not the Composite Brainy presented in the story.
So weird. The interior Brainy doesn't really match any single iteration of the character, but the headband on the cover version feels like the Bendis Brainy.
