Welcome direction: The Hindu Editorial on the Supreme Court’s deadline to conduct elections in J&K But it is also incongruous that the Supreme Court judgment does not press the government to restore statehood to the bifurcated Union Territory

The Supreme Court of India did the right thing to set a deadline for elections to be held in Jammu & Kashmir. But it should have compelled the Union government to restore statehood within a specified timeframe as well. The Hindu editorial. www.thehindu.com/opinion/edit...
