Yea I don’t understand why it’s incumbent on us to pay for their mistakes (when we already paid for them to begin with) instead of them making internal changes to either reduce cost or make the game more attractive to bring in new money?
The purpose of crowd funding was to prevent scummy cash grabs like this in the first place. At least with a publisher, we might actually have a game at this point. Now we have no finished game and a P2W cash shop.
I think that’s the key thing a lot of people who say they don’t care are missing. It’s not this individual instance of greed that’s concerning, it’s the clear patter of behavior that you can chart towards everything in the game being for sale. What’s the point of playing it?

There are significant game mechanic changes, including an entire overhaul of the character locomotion, UI and changes to leveling, character progression and enemy spawning/scaling. It’s like a 10 min video. Or I guess you can just keep being mad about stuff you’ve made up.
Did you watch the announcement video or check into any of the details on “sprucing” it up? I’m assuming no, which is probably where the confusion comes from.

How much coverage on the game have you watched? I wouldn’t expect this to be close to the same experience as SWG. As far as I understand it, it’s not meant to.

The original emulator team, SWGEmu is almost done completing the Jump to Lightspeed expansion. Once that’s done, they will have a complete code base with all the expansion running in pre-CU. At that point the SWGEmu project will be complete. SWG NFS and CUEmu will both be running on SWG Realms.
