Today we celebrate Mayor Mamdani's win in New York. His win is incredibly significant for progressive politics globally, as it demonstrates that despite the rise of the far right, we can cut through the noise with real policies and effective campaign strategies.

Starmer and Farage both drape themselves in flags but once again it's really clear where their loyalty really is.
It's Trump first. They will always be on the side of the super rich and powerful - no matter how heinous the crime.
This is not patriotism. It's subservience.

Today we celebrate investment from the government into modern alternatives to animal testing. We have a long way to go in our treatment of animals, but we welcome this small step in the right direction.

Many councillors have seen the failings of Labour and chose to back the Greens, let's hope we see that trend continue!
