The #SOTU2026 highlight was undoubtedly the Medal of Honor awarded to CW5 Eric Slover. I fortunately came across a remarkable earlier story of Slover's heroism and courage under fire, reported over a decade ago by Jay Price. A real American hero.

This is Zephyr. He is a professionally trained bed bug detector. When he recognizes the scent of live bed bugs, he gives an alert by sitting and smiling exuberantly at his handler. We're pretty sure no one has ever been more excited to find bed bugs in their life. 13/10 (TT: emmercrew)

I live in a college town with little to no decent biking infrastructure, but see lots of analogue bikes, cargo bikes and e-bikes.Very few of the Vroom-Vroom toys. e-cargo bike are used to transport kids, other stuff frequently, and e-bikes used for commuting, as well as regular bikes.
What that says is those people aren't very observant. Time moves on, including economic levels. Times were very different then, and the changes don't make poverty any less detrimental.
I bet your children will.
