Alongside Chelsea Neighbors United, I joined neighbors calling on the Hudson River Park Trust to immediately end its contract with ICE allowing vehicles to park at Pier 40, in view of the Statue of Liberty. Waiting until June is unacceptable. Our parks should never be used to intimidate communities.
Freedom is health care. Period.

From NWS New York NY: Snow currently moving through the area may come down briefly heavy at times, reducing visibility to 1/4 mile or less. 1 to 2 inches are expected, with locally up to 3 inches possible. The moderate to heavy snow has pushed east of NE NJ, the Lower Hudson Valley, NE NJ, and NYC.
Travel remains hazardous. The Travel Ban is in effect through noon. The Hazardous Travel Advisory remains in effect for the entire day. Limit travel to essential needs and allow crews to continue snow operations.
βοΈ Additional snow expected by noon: 1.5 to 3.5 inches, highest where bands redevelop.
βοΈ Noon to 8 PM: another 1.5 to 2.5 inches.
Total storm snowfall is now projected around 19 to 21 inches citywide, with localized totals near 22 inches.
