International Stand Up to Bullying Day is observed twice a year in February and November by schools and organisations in more than 25 countries. Bullying can have lasting effects on a person’s psyche, and it is important to recognize instances of bullying and put an end to them immediately.

When a crime is considered an ‘aggravated offence’, it means that it was committed under circumstances which increase the seriousness of the offence in the eyes of the courts, the victim has longer to access justice and the perpetrator will get a stronger sentence.

This change will mean that anti-LGBT+ hate crime will now be considered an ‘aggravated offence’ ⬇️
