I’ve got some thoughts on DJ Moore … but our family welcomed a baby girl this week, so she’ll get my Bears takes for now.

The Bears are moving on without DJ Moore. His final game in Chicago was a disappointment, but some magical moments will live on in Bears lore.

Back of the napkin math here...
The Bears trade Moore -- I have him valued at $17M -- and shed a $28M contract.
And then you factor in the value of the second-round pick swap for a fifth...
The Bears went +$11M on Moore and +$8.3M on the pick swap.
That's a robbery, folks.
Bears picks on the first two days of the draft will be 25, 57, 60, 89.
For now.
BREAKING: The Chicago Bears are finalizing a trade to send WR D.J. Moore to the Buffalo Bills, sources tell @diannarussini.bsky.social.
Nahshon Wright enjoyed a breakout season with the Bears in 2025, setting himself up for a big payday in free agency, whether in Chicago or elsewhere.

The combine is the ultimate rumor/gossip mill, and this year, folks around the league had positive things (gasp!) to say about the Bears.
Here's what @danwiederer.bsky.social and I heard about Ben Johnson, Caleb Williams, DJ Moore, the LB situation, Kevin Byard, Darnell Wright and more

Bears head coach Ben Johnson's got jokes. He opened a session with the Chicago media with, "OK, let's start with this. I know what everyone's thinking: Does Caleb have NBA aspirations? And the answer is no," Johnson said. "I think football is his calling. Did you see the 3-point contest?"
Asked about the left tackle spot, Bears GM Ryan Poles went through a variety options the team will consider this offseason, and he did add, “We want to keep Darnell and Jonah together on the right side.”
Also said Joe Thuney moving there was more to help in a pinch, but he’ll stay at left guard.
I think we should adopt a policy worldwide that any runner-up in a championship tilt should receive a stuffed animal moments after losing. Absolutely incredible!
