Had a lovely afternoon yesterday catching up with existing and new friends who are in the wonderful Brisbane Writing Crew.
The most wonderful and supportive group of fellow writers.

I'm doing #Movember as a tribute to my old friend Gary Palmer.
I've had some great support so far including Gary's family, but now, in the last week, I'm reaching out again for any support you can give, as I'd love to smash my fundraising goal of $2,000.

I never accept how to vote cards forced on you at elections, usually with a polite no thanks.
Today when I went to vote in #TheVoice referendum I again declined both Yes & No cards and said to both: the money spent printing these forms would have been much better spent on indigenous welfare issues.

I admire your commitment Robert, but Linda Burney's performance on a current affair last night really would have turned most people away from voting yes.
She and Albanese have turned a lot of people off.

I have met a lot of fellow writers on Twitter, especially Australian writers through the #AusWrites hashtag. I visited Twitter this morning and it's obvious that a lot of people have left the sinking ship since the musk stick took it over.

A great afternoon of inspiring chat and support with great friends in the Brisbane Writers Crew.

I've noticed lots of people sharing photos of cats, but since we don't have a cat here is my cat-sized dog, Turner, enjoying an ice cream.

Moving to Blue Sky has been a bit like I've emigrated to a new country where I have walked down the street and bumped into some old friends and met a couple of new ones.
It seems like a nice place, but part of me is wondering if I'll ever see some friends again.
