Experience matters in how we investigate officer-involved shootings, but so do structure, transparency, and discipline. When those are missing, legitimacy suffers. Some thoughts here.

Just an update: I too have decided to decline any bowl offers and instead focus on next season.

Growth is not optional for a profession that seeks public trust.
Unsurprising but extremely disappointing.

50 years of SNL Music - one of the very best episodes of this show, bar none. Outstanding! #SNLMusic #SNL
Everything I read about his objection was about the dignity being afforded the Columbiansβ¦or rather the lack of dignity with which they were treated.
A week after announcing Stargate, which wasnβt actually new and yet effectively tied the new administration to the success of American AIβ¦ π
Recent pardons have flown in the face of the good and often dangerous work protecting this nation done by the outstanding women and men in law enforcement.

Hoping everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Iβm just back from NYC where my daughter marched and performed in the Macyβs Thanksgiving Day Parade. What a fantastic trip!
Is this Dallas Cowboys v. Commanders game being played in the Bermuda Triangle or the Twilight Zone? π
A Thanksgiving week adventure! #MacysParade #Thanksgiving

Radley brings up an unfortunate byproduct of politics & bureaucracy. Fixing the problem of bad convictions results in payouts & accountability. If weβre truly going to use data & analysis, it behooves us to shine light & transparency on the entire process, learning all the ways we need to improve.
