Quick update on Alberta' renewable electricity program. 2-way CFDs for (cheap) wind in AB
To-date, the program has netted the govt (yes, govt) $185M. PLUS an add'l $97M from surrendered carbon credits as part of the contracts.

Alberta pool prices have increased massively in past 3 years. Increased competition and zero-bidding renewables will push prices back down.
