I don't even really care whose fault the tech issues of the last few years are, I just want fixes. And hey, now that WoW is under Microsoft's banner surely they can work together a bit to profile/debug a bit deeper, as well as with their previously said to be "close partners" that make the drivers.

Fair. I don't even remember that mount equipment exists, I'm over here swimming with my horses lmao. I get what you're saying though, it's the opposite for me and I think the current arrangement makes it so we both can do it the way we prefer.
Realistically though, I don't think there's any chance of Bliz going back on their current stance, the backlash would be too big. It's one of those QOL things, like Flying itself, that has a good and a bad side and the bad side only gets apparent after a while but by then it's impossible to go back.
Do you think it would be more acceptable if the daze / dismount mechanic was removed / changed? As a person that mained a tank class since forever and never had the daze / dismount problem in ground mounts, my view of using them for questing is much more favorable because you can just run away.

Started playing Elden Ring for the first time this past month. The whiplash of going from Elden Ring gameplay back to WoW (not helped by the fact that my class lost rotational abilities, so there's less stuff to press) has been rough. I know WoW picks up once you start doing max level stuff, but
The enemies leveling up with you (so there's no feeling of progress) and the scaling curve basically becoming flat once you reach around (level cap - 5) is awful though.
It becomes really apparent whenever there's a leveling event or remix. They really should revisit this philosophy from Legion and see what worked and what didn't and change it. The idea of being able to level anywhere was good and also to be able to level alongside friends of different levels, but
Played for 2 hours, wandered around Silvermoon and Sunstrider Isle. Sorry, the revamp doesn't hit for me. Especially the music. I had to mute Dornogal's music because it was too loud and blaring and I was really looking forward to the calm music of Silvermoon with just the cello. Nope. #Warcraft
