Honestly part of my issue with the movie was I'd listened to that album so much before I saw the movie for the first time it was jarring!

Always held Bad Timing at arm's length as a movie but damn if every time I watch it, it doesn't creep up in my estimation & I might even be starting to love it. Grabbed a copy of the out of print DVD - in the BTS when Roeg says there's a secret part of him in this movie but he can't tell, like dude

the era of massively over polished opening hours was peak gaming. Strangled in its sleep by its evil younger sibling 'fake scripted E3 demo VS'

I THINK the issue here is that a bunch of these were kicked off with funding and the promise of more funding to follow and then all that funding got pulled and so people were left with 'go viral on day 1 or fold'

Similarly Renderheads is incredible and amazingly performant - but has no console version :(

But can sometimes by hamstrung a little by Unity when used as plugin there vs your own implementation

Depending on your platform iirc Bink is very performant if you encode with frequent iFrames

(Everyone I know that has tried video for this problem has bailed and gone back to sprites FYI!)
