The SM64 "backwards long jump" is such a disappointing name once you learn that the Japanese name for this trick is the "ass warp".

i've gotten to s+/x multiple times and every time i have it's like i hit a steel wall, every weapon i try when i play at that level gets countered by people who are just naturally better at the game and i end up getting so frustrated with myself that my performance tanks anyway

i hate feeling like i can't ever improve at a game i've played and enjoyed for years and want to take seriously
