People are trying to instrumentalise Satrapi to justify this war of aggression, and it's a good time to remind people that genuine political dissidents, such as her, take more considered views about the supposed humanitarian contribution of murdering civilians at scale.

Having grown up a white kid in the Jim Crow south, I’d now say that pretty much was slavery, though I didn’t start to understand that until my early teens.
