Well, there goes my love of nature. JK, thanks for another fun chat! It's Women in Horror Month, you're looking to read more horror books by women, consider adding Little White Flowers to your list. Read it now before the sequel comes in June.

At the moment, I'm not posting anything regularly there, except the occasional short story. But I'm scheming my next horror tale, so stay tuned. :)

Thanks Eryn
This is always fun
Check out my books
Any one of them
Hell, all of them
I need to know if I'm writing tripe or not
They're thrilling
They're funny
And as my dear departed grandma would say
They're proper filth!

Ooh this reminds me of a Kickstarter anthology about horror deer that looked promising. Love it.
Don't worry, everyone! I'm pretty sure the deer is completely norm--OH SHIT, YOU GUYS AREN'T GONNA BELIEVE THIS.

She barks behind me.
Wait. Howling? I turn back, and my dog stands in the foggy wheat fields, head craned towards the moon.
She turns away, and trots back to me again, panting.
She is running.
She is loping.

I love this. π π

Love this.
smash the erratic cricket
because you can't catch it
and from its depths arises
the tiniest chthulian monstrosity
slender tentacular heads blindly
searching for a water way out
from its dying host
pod people in miniature
may they never adapt to us

Eek! πͺ±
I didn't see that coming. π±
Tess frowned as she peered into the cage. "Mama, something's wrong with Flop. She's not moving."
Annette's chest tightened. She wasn't ready to explain death to a 5 year old. "She's sleeping, honey."
The rabbit corpse twitched. Its mouth opened. Out streamed a sea of ticks.

The wolf's shadow stuttered, blurred, its eyes full of static, a child's scream tearing from its maw. I backed away. The creature smiled, human lips and teeth blurring into its own, the canned laughter of a sitcom audience now rumbling out of its throat. #horrorwriterschat
An endless spiral of shiny carapaces, antennae raking the air. The synchronized click of millions of feet. The acrid smell. The arms of the cockroach spiral stretched for miles. AT the center was a writhing mass big enough to cover only a single human body. And it was enough. #horrorwriterschat
Eek! π±
Now I know why they call them murders; never seen crows swoop down and start ripping the flesh off of people like that before.
Totally creeps me out to this day when I run across a corn maze...

The dog stares at the wall, its snout touching it.
I call Murphy to come over. She doesn't. She just sits there, staring intently at the wall.
Murphy starts to growl. Then, a chill goes down my spine. It feels like something else is there with us.
Effective. π
I put my hand on the glass, wondering if it was true jellyfish live forever.
The πͺΌ touched a tendril to the glass, & there was a spark.
I walked away, one year older than I was before, but none the wiser.
One year younger, the πͺΌ would wait another for another victim.

So true. π±
Well I won't choose bears again
And Man is too easy
So I'll say I really wouldn't want to encounter a ribbon worm
Imagine being caught in the proboscis and being dragged into a hell that disgests you really slowly
Get a gooood mental picture
That's right
Like marriage!
