When I play Crusader Kings 2, if you get the trait "arbitrary" literally everyone hates you. Only plus side is you can appoint your horse as chancellor. Feels like we are living that reality right now, with an arbitrary president, who is only restrained by his "morality" - not the constitution.

My heart grieves. We have learned nothing about our imperialist wars. Get ready for them to prop up the Shah’s son like we are in the Middle Ages. If you don’t think that Islamophobia is playing a big role in this Christian nationalist government’s foreign policy, you are asleep at the wheel.
I think that’s really disingenuous. An anti imperialist achievement would have been not going there in the first place. Imperialism leaves you no way to extricate yourself, and what you’re describing is a facet of colonialism writ large.

That's a theology that has come up a lot in conservative circles over the last year, but I hadn't heard accounts of it being repeated by rank-and-file agents.
