Congrats on the HM π agreed though, I loved your piece and really wanted to see it go far. Hate how unlucky you got with the seeding! The whole thing just dripped with incredible prose, I really hope you're able to find a home for it β a beautifully written piece with a beautiful message π

Although this also means that Basic Kindness is Punkβ¨
Happy to be Punk AF these daysπ
My wife and I, completely independently of each other (separate conversations) both went "What??? Do they not laugh???" when we found out π€£πΆβπ«οΈ

3rd in my group for NYC Midnight's Rhyming Story challenge! I had a few clunky rhymes in there that I was worried about, very relieved that the piece was strong enough for the judges to overlook those parts. Onward to Round 2!

What immediately struck me was how quickly and effortlessly he was willing to make large cuts, massacring multiple paragraphs of darlings without hesitation. As I reread, it suddenly clicked that this was how he managed to keep his writing so energetic

Love love love Lois Duncan π she's absolutely one of my biggest writing inspirations. This one in particular was so unsettling, an excellent dive into art theft and capitalist exploitation
