I just fished it out to wear for Perfect Order prerelease, and the big party day we're having on release weekend to open packs together. I've come full circle that I actually play the TCG now and have never been more excited for a TCG set (it's the Zygarde set) (so I should wear The Zygarde Hat)

Wanted to chronicle the tale of The Zygarde Hat over here. One of my fondest memories of Worlds 2022 was people (whom I had not yet spoken to, so must have heard about my quest from others) stopping me in the venue to ask if I'd won The Zygarde Hat yet

I am still enjoying it bc it's fun :) But I only ever tried Trigun whatsoever bc I loved Studio Orange's animation work and the trailer for Stampede looked beautiful. Houseki no Kuni is stunning. Now I'm not even all that interested in a second season of that any more

Stampede's scenes, even with very harsh sunlight, had such nice colour grading and compositions. You'd get fun camera-like tricks with exposure and focus. Stargaze has just been flat boring harsh lighting with no interesting compositions... it's so sad

My biggest disappointment with Trigun Stargaze is not the pacing or the writing, it's just how... bland it looks... Stampede was so beautiful bc they could lean into more film-like lighting and shots. It used the 3D animation to it's advantage. Stargaze has just been animated like a budget 2D series

Easily missed (because security was obscuring it lol), but they have the original artwork for Pikachu at the Museum by Naoyo Kimura on display at the NHM 🥺 Amazing to see the intricate pencil work, and how much further the art extends beyond the card borders!
