17 is another simple #LuckyBamboo
The jar was my grandmothers. It has a crack near the handle, so I don’t trust it with sweet tea anymore. But… it’s close to my heart. I have to keep it.
It can hold the #DracaenaSanderiana for a little while.

16 is a baby #WhitePine. I have secret plans for him. But first he has to survive.
Now, to finish up the south facing window crew. We’ve got three finalists who… probably aren’t going to be staying. But they occupy spots 15-17 in this week’s #PlantParade
15 is a vase that I have plans for, but is presently just an empty vase.
And here at 14 is Deep Sea #Dauphine. My #StringOfDolphins.
I forgot when I got her. I thought she had died, but I found a string of her surviving in that tray table. I put her in a pot, and now look at her! She’s a comeback queen! #SenecioPeregrinus
And now at 13 is #GrouchoJr! He is a #TeddyBearPlant given to me by a dear friend of mine.
I need to repot him into something that drains better, but I’m so happy at how well he’s growing!
#KalanchoeTomentosa
Next at 12 is #Arisone my second #VenusFlyTrap. I was gifted her at Christmas. And that’s when I learned about how to actually care for a #VTF.
She’s a little scraggly right now because I’m letting her flower. She kept putting out bloom stalks so by the third one I decided to let her bloom.
That’s why I felt she earned a name. And I chose Philomena. A strong, surviving name of a queen.
She was fine at first, but then her traps started coming in deformed.
For the last four months I have been slowly rinsing out her roots with tap water. 3 full flushes until the water that seeps out the bottom starts to run clear every week.
But look how healthy her new traps are!
Coming in at 11 is #Philomena the #VenusFlyTrap
Let me tell you, when they tell you to only water these things with distilled water, they are serious. I didn’t know that the first two months I had her and gave her tap water instead.
Coming in slot number 10, is my #Kalanoche sitting inside a cute little bluebird of happiness.
She was just recently given to me as a gift, so I’m still learning how to care for her. But she’s so pretty I just adore her!
#KalanchoeBlossfeldiana
First thing first. Coming in at spot 9 in the parade, my #AloeVera Mama Chthulu has desperately needed a repot for the past… year. And I just now got to it.
She had so many pups!
If anyone needs an #Aloe, let me know!
Okay! Day 2 of the weekly #PlantParade! We’re onto the south facing window! Which went through a whole upgrade! Let’s start with a before and after picture!
8 in today’s #PlantParade is Mr. #TurtleVine! He’s the burnout gifted kid of the house. We was so cute and fluffy a few months ago but now he’s a leggy mess!
I found this cute little spider when I was soaking him
#CallisiaRepens #SpiderFriend
Starting us off in team computer room, at position 7 in today’s #PlantParade, is #PeaceLily! She does a very difficult job of keeping the computer room smelling fresh and not like a turtle’s aquarium. I just repotted her last week and she’s doing fine.
#SpathiphyllumWallisii
Finishing up the bedroom squad in the #PlantParade in spot number 6 is my husband’s favorite. #StringOfTurtles. Barely ever needs any water. Just some tlc and a rotation. #PeperomiaProstrata
5 in the #PlantParade is my hurricane birds nest fern. I don’t have a name for her yet. But I love the way she hangs in the window. I just switched her onto purified water! #AspleniumNidus
No. 4 in today’s #PlantParade is Pizzolato. I almost forgot about him before changing out his water. I have several #LuckyBamboo. They’re not fussy, but they do a good job of cleaning the air.
#DracaenaSanderiana
Spot No. 3 in today’s #PlantParade: #MrSweetums!
He’s been with us 7 years. I nearly gave up on him 6 months ago when I decided he was headed outdoors. He’s just so big!
But today I trimmed the dead leaves, wiped him down, and I’m feeling hopeful again.
#DracaenaFragrans
Second in line for the #PlantParade today is Mr Rattlesnake. He is a hard worker who lives above the cat box. He really perked up after a spa dip and a wipe down. And I made a little gravel humidity boost for him!
#RattlesnakePlant #Calathea
I’ve decided to start posting my weekly plant parades. So to kick us off with the grand debut, here are my seedlings coming in for 2025!
At the top there are scarlet runners
Then morning glories
Then cardinal climbers
Then 4 o clocks
Then some petunias I hand harvested from 2023!
Then marigolds
