Update: it looks like I *will* be going to Egypt to have a nice time.
Iβm literally back to checking my phone/emails/texts between sets while working out π΅βπ«
Itβs been a LONG time since Iβve woken up to rapidly changing travel plans and I can say with 100% certainty that I donβt miss this lifestyle! How did we do this for shows??
I'm just trying to go to Egypt and have a nice time. Goddamn.
With everything going on this weekend, I feel it's very important to relay to you all that they have added a long-haired dachshund as a pet in WoW. There are also pangolins.
Every single time I have a trip planned to Egypt, the US pulls some bullshit maneuver in that part of the world. Every. Single. Time. Iβm trying to show people that itβs not a scary part of the world, everythingβs fine, etc etc. Can we justβ¦not?
It's been an entire week of 8am construction/repairs and Emergency Friendship Procedures. On the bright side, I'm finishing my work by 10-11am. Downside: my brain feels like cotton.
If you cut the sweet potatoes in half, coat the whole thing in olive oil and a bit of salt on the sliced side and then bake it cut side down (375ΒΊF, 55-60 min), all the sugars bake out and caramelize on that side and it is π€π€π€
So I tried the thing where you cook sweet potatoes cut side down and let me tell you, I have entered sweet potato nirvana. The flavor? The perfect caramelized coating?? I will be doing this with Murasaki sweet potatoes ASAP.
*sighs and adds several Etruscan sites to my VERY long list of places I want to go and/or excavate*
Starting the morning with coffee and Etruscans >>>>

Got a whole bag of dumplings on deck for tonight. Let's go Fire Horse 2026! π₯π§§π
Super excited for Ramadan as this means the return of all the confused/sleepy cats who don't understand why the whole household is suddenly up at 4am.
It's meeee
*stares in researcher* ...when was this made?
Because even in a fictional/multiversal Earth, there are still pyramids which means we have ancient Egypt, archaeology, and heritage. Obvs having the pyramids in the background makes for a lovely VFX shot, but do you need to put the large *thing* right there? Just going a bit to the west would work.
Beginning my movie catch up and tonight is Fantastic Four: First Steps. Several Marvel Rivals maps make more sense now. Am actively wondering if any surveying took place before a huge βbridgeβ was constructed on the Giza plateauβ¦

I have now seen The Odyssey trailer on a big screen, which means Iβm still disappointed. Just in a larger format now!
Doing my best to have a nice, chill week but nooo this needs to be the week people go all-in on extra dumb pseudoscience.
Seeing all the videos from the people who were the grass during the Superbowl halftime show has brought an endless amount of joy to my day. Favorites are the one grass that was milly rocking during set up and the one that snuck a tiny Mexican flag for the finale.
Mummified remains, usually. And if the name of the person is known, you can include that too.
Noooo π«

Oh nooo! Hopefully not until after the party?
