I say this as a fellow AuDHDer with abandonment issues.

The issues didn’t come from the AuDHD, just my adolescent life. In a crude sense, both my parents abandoned me and I had to learn from mine and everyone around me’s mistakes instead of a straight up lesson from them.

May be underlying abandonment issues.

After the US civil war, individual states started restricting immigration. Federal government stepped in to close the Chinese internment camps and decided it was a federal responsibility to restrict where they saw fit, not up to the states.

Before that, INS (Immigration and Naturalization services) was juggled between DOL (Labor) and DOJ (Justice)

If you look at how often INS was restructured in early 1900s, it’s actually surprising that DHS hasn’t undergone much change in the past 2 decades. just statistical differences, really. Shuffling of duties.
