move slow and repair things
My kid has a bad cough and has not been sleeping much which means I have dutifully been rotating between my bed and her floor every 1-2 hours for the past several nights and I am very very upset about this stupid Spring Forward daylight savings bs thatβs happening Sunday.
When it comes to the South, national queer/trans media tends to veer between doomerism and exultation.
By now you've probably heard that several prominent anti-trans Democrats lost primaries on Tuesday. This is, of course, good. But it ain't the whole story.
Aπ§΅, y'all, from @transnews.network
This is a new to me song and Iβm struggling to post this imperfect learning of it.
But fuck it, we ball.
I was put to work rolling quarters, but in exchange I had free reign on the gumballs. They were the huge, multicolored ones so I really couldnβt eat that many. Smart move on her part.
Yep π
Oh yea thatβs super problematic.
When I was a teenager my mom had me watch a documentary about a trans man who got ovarian cancer and she convinced me it was because he was on T.
*puts a quarter in therapy jar*
Watched something on YouTube last night and was served a PE ad.
Thatβs not actually a problem of mine, but thanks for the male affirmation. π
Ah ok. Gotcha
Need? Itβs an option not a necessity.
I feel like this is coming from the whole βworth of a βfemaleβ body is reproductionβ tho.
This past weekend I chatted with some friends about trans news in Kansas (and war in Iran but that episode isnβt out yet).
Hereβs the Patreon link (goes public next week but please support the pod). www.patreon.com/posts/season...
As interesting as this is - I wanna know what peopleβs grandmothers did for a living -
Paternal: worked for the same bank for 40 years rising from teller to VP of the branch (basically she ran it)
Maternal: entrepreneur of many pursuits including for a brief time in my childhood - gumball machines
Yep. Sounds about right
I gave a βwassupβ nod one time to a trans guy at the gym and he didnβt react well, so I donβt do that anymore.
I could make a male loneliness joke here, but I think he was just stealth and I picked up on something I wasnβt supposed to.
When I see trans women working retail or service industry I give a simple compliment (earrings, clothes, makeup). And they get it without a full ππ³οΈββ§οΈβ¬οΈ
Conversely if I see another trans guy I completely ignore them like the invisible man they are.
It bothers me every time I hear someone talk about American soldiers dying.
Theyβll say something like β6 soldiers. How many more?β
And I think β1000+ civilians. How many more?β
There is no one life thatβs worth more than another life. Why do we value Americans more? We drop the bombs on them dammit
π―
For what? For whom? Why?
What did they do to deserve this?
I donβt like US soldiers dying, but whatβs really digging into my conscience is all the civilians that US military is killing. Every soldier knows this is a possibility when they sign up. These civilians are just trying to live in their homes, in their schools, in their countries. And we kill them
Small world! I work for an org that works with this org. They do good stuff!
Best of luck with the fundraiser!
Hello! Getting closer to my goal of helping the most vulnerable Angelenos. Please help or RT if you can β€οΈ

AI used for writing has this kinda hard to pin down but clearly nonhuman cadence and just feels so manufactured like living in a very plastic disposable world that I do not want to be a part of.
I do like that it takes questions better than google if Iβm coding solo or trying to learn a new concept, but overall itβs not worth much.
It can be useful for coding in limited circumstances, like setting up a new project or troubleshooting but only with the understanding that it will be wrong a lot.
Itβs mostly a scraper so sometimes faster than looking through stack overflowβ¦

One of the worst things that social media commentary has done has been to comvince oppressed people that we don't need each other.
Knowing who to be mad at really is praxis.
