"When we declare we've won they've essentially surrendered" is an... interesting way to try to avoid the embarrassment of the "mission accomplished" banner.

This is a really important story. The small, but mighty select board of Foxboro, MA are pushing back against FIFA, Kraft Sports, and the Boston host committee for the World Cup by refusing to provide a license until their town gets necessary $ for security funding
Oh, you didn’t know, Sp*rs have redefined what a modern football club can be
You can’t make it up
I laughed

Peter Drury: “Well, still a quarter of an hour in this.”
Hahaha
Beautiful goal
Truly. Simple and pure and sure to make you belly laugh
Incredibly funny
My one gripe with what was otherwise a pretty flawless roll out for the new app (actual gripes about user experience aside), I really would like to purchase an Arsenal emblazoned corner flag ⛳️
It'll be inevitable. Paramount/WB is going to be carrying $80b in debt after this merger, $60b from the buyout alone.
Assume they're getting 7% interest rates (which they're not, the debt is rated junk), that's $4b in debt payments every year just for the merger.
That’s an interesting reframe which I like and makes sense
If there was a simple test for claustrophobia it should be accidentally putting on a hooded sweatshirt backwards. Pure terror
Yeah, it sounds like they had unanimity from owners which rarely happens and when it does it’s about cash. A relegation playoff feels crueler to me. It’s one think to dangle a fat bag of cash for teams to fight about, but the opposite is true with relegation. It’s like the devil dangling oblivion
Doing the same for relegation is interesting. I do wonder if widening the numbers of teams fighting for promotion could help with improving tv deals in the future. Though, if a miracle does happen and an 8th place team does earn promotion, they will likely get slaughtered in the PL
Good news for Sp*rs
Massive appreciation for Havertz today.
His sub made a massive difference towards Arsenal's ability to grab a foothold in this match.
Yeah, me too. I’ve always kept an eye on them
If city had fans I would say rip your mentions
Me today: Me tomorrow:
Suspect they could go all night if you let them
That’s a big win
Dumb foul
I really need this laugh
Raya wtf
