My LLM tells me a sure-fire way to get a Predator to like me is to show it my knife collection. brb
With any timetable at all, this is welcome news.
Dr. Tondro has a limited social media profile, but his Substack address is doctorcomics.substack.com
Not active in scholarship anymore because he went into games design at Wizards of the Coast, but you might check out my former colleague, Jason Tondro. He's specifically an Arthurian scholar who also studies superhero comic book narratives and explores similarities between the two genres.

Missed this one back in 2018, but damn does it nail the raising-toddlers experience.
An excellent drabble by Stickle, certain to get you reflecting, either about the theme or into a dozen imperfect versions of yourself.
Adventure, the OG. I'm sure I still have my Certificate of Wizardry for finishing it, somewhere.
Really liked this 1-minute read
7 I cannot bear, but there are another 3 that I'll pass on unless it's a special occasion or I'm being polite.
today's stress relief
Will add that the Hughes brothers (directors, Dead Presidents, From Hell, Menace II Society) are also candidates for this title, but I don't know that people recognize their names as readily now as they once did.
For a while it was probably musical artist Ben Harper (same class as me; no we didn't hang out). Now it's probably Jay Bhattacharya (same debate team, but a couple years ahead of me).
Love Mac Cabe's writing, and have been waiting for a collection. And she's right: that's a gorgeous cover.
He has a very .... confident, declarative voice when it comes to advice for writers. I find his articles simultaneously liberating and frustrating. :-)
It's definitely a phenomenon. I'm sure others have written about it, too, but I know Dean Wesley Smith has written about it.
Honoured to have my weird wee flash appear in this great publication. Thx to Tobias and all the Minor Lits team. If you need a story containing shape-shifting couriers and paramedic cats, scroll no further, my friends. ππͺπ©Ί
Ouch. I've heard of that, but not (yet) had the pleasure of that experience.
My record is one that got short listed and then stayed in the queue for 956 days, at which point they finally rejected it. I also have one that was accepted in 2017 but took another six years to be published. Tracking these is like its own sport.
Love the idea of positive trolling. That said, I've never been a Best of the Net nominee! :-)
Warlords was the game that taught me I had an addiction to computer gaming, way back when. I ended up deleting all of my games, cold turkey. But damn, it was fun while it lasted.
A bunch of former WP news staff should start a new publication called Ex Post Facto.
Reminder you can really help us out by pre-ordering our 2026 titles.

Loved the first installment. Just pre-ordered the next.
Same. It's very good.
I have long admired Niamh's voice. Immersive, rich, dark, and poetic. And Peor is a great micro story. I can see why it was selected.
