Meet the Team! Konstantin is a master's student in Applied Computer Science. As part of a seminar on data science, he joined us to create a customizable mobile application for behavioral data collection. The application is built using Flutter and will be available to all researchers once completed.
During her master’s thesis, she was working on automatic segmentation and classification of ring-tailed lemur vocalizations from long, noisy audio recordings, leveraging Audio Foundation Models, achieving excellent results!

🔍 Summary: We analysed 16 mammalian datasets and found that using MFCCs or random forests produced the most consistent results across species/datasets.
If you're working on acoustic ID in animals, these are great go-to methods.
