My husband would LOVE to live more into the country now but when we bought our current house, we did it so we could live closer to our downtown. There are a few places we could walk to easily, including our current jobs, and the house is a manageable size. That's important w/his health issues

My FB got suspended this morning for "violating community standards." Nothing I post should be considered a violation given that it's mostly about my pets/house. That said, I shared a column by Chris Armitage about "silent secession" a couple days ago & that's the only thing I can think triggered it

First lawn mowing of the season complete. Only did 3/4 of the yard because the other 1/4 is going to have a dry well installed, get regraded, and then seeded with native clover.
When I saw this story, I immediately thought to myself that if I need to fly that I just need to bite the bullet and drive the 4 hours to Toronto to do it. Now I get to worry about my parents flying since they have all kinds of trips coming up

Got to do one of my favorite annual interviews this morning with the executive director for the National Comedy Center. I've always enjoyed comedy but the opening of the Center combined with their annual Comedy Fest has really helped grow my interest. We're so very lucky here in Jamestown!

We don't even have a fancy heating option and we still love our toilet-seat attached bidet. My husband is very vocal about his enthusiasm about it to me, which surprised me.
