Casios have always been pretty sturdy though. Mind you, 43 years might be pushing it a bit.
One person in comments so far has said they still have theirs. Sadly, I never got one with my original Cassette 50. What a swizz!
I'm assuming those aren't on Tubi in the UK? Been keeping an eye out for those. Seen nothing yet.
Indeed. Nobody wants a 2-hour clump of horror.
Feels like I might have "taken one for the team" with this one. 🤭
Lovely. It's pretty quick-fire on the reviewing. TBH I'm surprised it only came out at 36 minutes. 🤭
I actually have my eye on mint, if the decent tech YouTubers are to be believed. Planning to run a version off a USB stick or an external drive to get used to the operating system, and I'm in the process of trying out cross-platform alternatives to Adobe in Windows before eventually moving across.
This is the thing - utter crap, but super nostalgic because it was such a strong memory. I love this cassette, regardless of the content. Going through it all again for this video was really fun.
My next version of Windows will be Linux.
50 Games on 1 cassette for £9.95 in 1983? What's not to like? Plenty, as it turns out. Come with me on an epic journey through Cassette 50 and discover whether it really was as bad as everyone seems to remember. (Calculator watch not included.)
Sweet! I still have my old 8.1 laptop in a cupboard. I have some old hardware that only works on systems earlier than W10, so kept hold of it.
The new He-Man side-scrolling beat-em-up (that's a lot of hyphens) has a release date confirmed and a trailer to announce the date: April 28th 2026. I have my eye on this one, and its Golden Axe style of gameplay. Hopefully a demo too, but we'll see.
Wha!? Are you on Netscape Navigator or something? 🤣
Fyi .. DuckDuckGo over here. Highly recommended.
From the Lego ideas website. Worth a vote imho:

Ah, right. Could have been a bit more tactful, maybe. Reckon the wife and I will get round to watching it at some point. Just caught Small Prophets on the iPlayer a couple of weeks ago. That was so good we watched it through twice!
I haven't got round to watching that yet. What are they preaching about in Episode 2?
I've definitely had many frustrating moments like those over the years where a simple task brick-walls my progress. I think my DK issues there were down to my focus being on the stream and chatting though. Practice went SO well. 🤣
Fabulous
Cadbury's Mini Egg?
Now THAT'S how you do business! 👏
Live stream coming up this Thursday, 7.30pm (UK time). Playing modern-retro platformer BOMCAT, followed by two retro arcade games of a similar vibe. Link to the scheduled stream page here for notification requests, etc..
Lots of text in this image - sorry.
1983 Magazine advert for Cassette 50.
Front cover of tape inlay for "Cassette 50".
1980s Magazine advert for Cassette 50.
Looking for your comments to feature in an upcoming video about Cassette 50. Released for all major home computers in 1983-ish and either loved or hated by many.
More details/text in the images, because of the Bluesky character limit ...
If old crips packets from years ago fill you with nostalgia, come check out my latest video for a look at some old favourites. Branding is removed for the first 10 seconds of each to give you a chance to guess, & there's a selection of digitally restored retro crisp adverts to enjoy at the end too.
Hmm.. good point. 🫣
The former, obvs. 😖
A pain in the backside. Take some slow, deep breaths. 🤞
