Been awhile since I've shared anything related to my thesis.
Have this panning background that I like.

Been feeling a bit of artistic burnout lately and nothing else seems to get me out of it than doing this. Random characters in the Klasky-Csupo style!!!

That first one is the most characters I've ever animated in a single shot. While it was a challenge, I'm glad I was able to accomplish such a feat. You'll also notice in the final episode that Leah did some additional animation in my second shot for continuity reasons, haha.

Fun production tidbit for Lil Robot Girl
To give it more of that traditional quality, all of the backgrounds were drawn on paper! Everything was then scanned and colored digitally, but the pencil line was left untouched.
I did over 20 unique backgrounds this way.
Using Adobe Animate (back when it was Flash) is what got me into doing animation for real, I learned almost everything I know just playing around in it (plus YouTube tutorials, lol)
Even though I don't use Animate as much for my work anymore, its discontinuation feels like such a massive loss.
This is gonna feel like losing a longtime friend next year 😵💫
