With Russia stuck in a quagmire in Ukraine and the US getting drawn into a quagmire in Iran, it’s clear the best thing China could do for its own stability and the stability of the world is to not get cocky, proceed with caution, and LEAVE TAIWAN ALONE.
I‘m not going to publicly speculate about how likely it is to happen but I will say that if they do bring back the draft I doubt it will go exceptionally well for them.

Within Iran Pahlavi is at best a symbol, and not a major one. He doesn’t have people or money. There is some desire to install him as a transitional figure, but none to go backward.
I am very comfortable affirmatively saying Platner is a Nazi, and instead of being like "he probably isn't one but..." it may be more worthwhile to think about what it means that a not insubstantial chunk of "our side" thinks being a Nazi isn't disqualifying.
