The best was always figuring it out together though, like when the washing machine broke and we said fuck it and fixed it ourselves. She did the research, found the parts and we made a giant mess in the laundry room. But we got it done.

I was raised by a single mom and my grandparents most of my life. Most cool DIY repairs I've been done with my mom. She taught me how to do all that shit. When she didnt know she'd call grandpa and he'd guide us over the phone. My dad never taught me much, it was always my mom picking up the slack.
