Hahah just got the Peacock promo to stream Hamnet after renting it last night ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ™ƒ

Always great timing on my part but happy to throw money at the oh so talented Jessie.

I'm now turning this into a PSA for the rest of you with dwindling Olympics/Peacock subscriptions like me.

I was radicalized long before AI got extra popular because of the one time that Outlook tried to suggest alternatives to my expressive "jazz hands" commentary in an email.

Raise a brow, dear readers, cuz I'm not gonna be some cold, corporate cutout.

I'm loving this "competition" in an AI era and showing how these deeply experienced folks can trip on the basics. It's not a gotcha moment; it's a humble reminder that the repetition stacks and yet you can still get a bit too abstract over time. And that's when AI can lead you astray.

Hat tip to Brian for added the response/additional context.

I can own my knee-jerks to a *very common* trend of tech companies speaking to levels they can't back up, but few more layers to this one:

Okay, okay I can appreciate the response. Lil knee-jerky on my part.

I'm mostly wanting people to remember that policies change, acquisitions happen, and the potential to cave when bought out or pushed is real -- but I'll keep that energy for the clearer offenders. Ty for sharing!

Okay okay lil much from me. I know we're all trying options. Yes, I am definitely salty from all the moral superiority around OpenAI vs. Anthropic when we're talking tiny degrees of separation.

Tech is not neutral.

06.03.2026 13:56 ๐Ÿ‘ 10 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Oh good. I'll make more popcorn for the incoming discussions from the "I only use neutral, ethical tech" folks, still in denial.

How many examples do we need?

Haha yeah there's that part of me that was at peace being able to awkwardly cry on my own couch ๐Ÿ˜†

And yes, the connection that got rebuilt through the ending play and the ways they tied the peaceful goodbye. Finally holding his reached out hand. Shared grief.

Heavy but lovely.

I'm still processing this watch and I'm more and more bummed I didn't catch it in a theater.

Films like this are ones that remind us of a shared humanity; the social experiment of us all getting emotionally thrashed by the same story. And what an embodiment of Shakespeare's effect over centuries.

Oh man I just let my dog out once more and I thought I might have to help him back in ๐Ÿฅถ

He's too old for this shit.

Hell, I am too ๐Ÿ˜†

Hot mess ๐Ÿ˜ญ as expected

The use of Max Richter's "On the Nature of Daylight" knocked me out for a sec but in a fair way. 'Arrival' is my go-to catharsis film so only fitting they both feature this song as a sob soundtrack lolol

Hey likewise! It's been really nice to rebuild the lil connections that were started over there. Twitter glory days will be their own unique moment in time but we can try to replicate a lil haha

Started Hamnet and I'm fairly certain it's going to destroy me a bit

Jessie is worth it

Twitter expanded by circles and interactions to folks beyond that white feminist status quo or the deep red conservative roots I was raised around so I look for that in my platforms.

We get a lil homogenous over here, but I'm glad we can agree that being stuck with The Other Place is just silly.

06.03.2026 03:20 ๐Ÿ‘ 5 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Okay I dabbled a bit in this discourse but I'll also admit my initial reluctance to join an alternative platform with "blue" in the name. Felt too on the nose. And the echo chambers that bug me the most are those filled with moderate, left-leaning, "I'm an ally," white feminists. Zero learning.

06.03.2026 03:20 ๐Ÿ‘ 5 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I trust but I'll hold out a bit and see

06.03.2026 02:34 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yeah I played the first boss of 2 and I'm thinking I should go take one more swing at wrapping 1.

I'm not good at leaving games like that haha at least ones I like

06.03.2026 00:22 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yup I was excited to try it until I see it's 2 only so lol I'm out

05.03.2026 23:49 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yup I'm skipping that lol I grew up on all the versions with my Gameboy etc but they can't squeeze my nostalgia THAT hard

05.03.2026 23:48 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

๐Ÿ‘€ woah

Ah yes of course Pokopia is only Switch 2

My capitalism-wired brain understands that's the inevitable way, but my "casual Nintendo consumer" side wants to lecture them about boxing out people like me ๐Ÿ˜†

Only Zelda can pull moves like that ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Yup the T-shape that remains around Pittsburgh and Philly is nicknamed Pennsyltucky for a reason. I just never liked pointing to other states as a joke but it's a real thing.

We Will Not Be Divided Employees of Google and OpenAI stand together to refuse the Department of War's demands to use AI models for domestic mass surveillance and autonomous killing without human oversight.

I do like a good ol "open letter with signatures" approach. Though a lot of me knows, having been on this track before, that the real hit is from not doing the work or profiting the company ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Let's see where this goes:

To a degree -- I think we have to do our part to understand the *systems* that create these minds so that we contribute to dismantling/changing them.

Since we benefit even if we hate it.
